    Braiding – 6 Strands

The six strand braid is actually pretty simple.

    1.  Have six strands  ready to go.  Pinch them together so they stay together.  You may need a bit of water to make them stick.

    2.  Splay the strands out, move number five to the far left.  Order is now 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6.

    3.  Move number 6 over two to the left.  Order is now 5, 1, 2, 6,  3, 4.

    4.  Move number 1 to the far right.  Order is now 5, 2, 6, 3, 4, 1.

    5.  Move number 5 two to the right.  Order is now 2, 6, 5,  3,  4, 1.

Keep repeating this sequence until you have used up all the dough.  Pinch the ends together tightly, tuck the ends under  a bit, work the dough to make it evenly sized and you are done.
